We could not have asked for a better experience than we had with White Movers.  Our move was a bit different because we were moving back to the US from San Luis Potosi.  I had gotten a quote from an international company and it was very vague with many contingencies (like being charged by the hour for the time the truck would have to wait to get across the border, etc.), extremely high and totally unsatisfactory.   Having previously lived in Ajijic I was aware of Strom/White but I had no idea if they could help me in San Luis Potosi.  I contacted Teresa White.  She couldn't have been more helpful.  Her quote was straight-forward and reasonable. She was very clear about what we needed to do and how to do it.  The move was accomplished on time without a single problem.  Everything arrived in perfect order with no problems at the border.   Thank you, Teresa, for all your hard work.  This comment was totally unsolicited.  I came across the website while looking for contact information for a friend in San Luis Potosi who will be returning to Canada in the next year and wanted the number of my movers.  So even though I'm now back in the US of A I'll still have plenty of opportunities to sing your praises!

Strom White Moving did an excellent job of moving our belongings from Divide, CO to Lakeside.   Our household goods included several pieces of antique furniture.  Our greatest concern was a Victorian Era sideboard from London 8 feet tall with leaded glass mirrors and intricate carving details.  We worried about damage to the items in the shipment, especially the sideboard, as well as horror stories we had heard about theft and breakage with the Mexican Customs.  But everything came through in perfect condition.   The local Moving Company Strom White used to professionally pack and load our items was fantastic.  It took a few days longer than we expected for them to send out the load, but once we received it and saw how meticulously the items were wrapped and protected we understood immediately.   Prior to the move, Teresa White was always available to answer our questions both by phone and e-mail.  Her staff took care of all legal details required by Aduana and she made the potential paperwork nightmare a walk in the park.    Once the shipment arrived Lakeside, they made sure it was delivered to us ASAP.  The Strom White delivery men were a pure joy to work with.  Pleasant, smiling, and most important of all - CAREFUL.  They truly went above and beyond in their efforts to get our furniture into the new home without a scratch.   There is enough stress when relocating to Mexico without having the additional burden of dealing with Mexican Customs without the help of experts like Strom White.  Incidentally, we have moved several times cross-country in the US with professional movers, but this was truly the most professional, hassle-free and damage-free move we have experienced.  Thank you Doug and Teresa!

We moved from Lake Oswego, Oregon to Patzcuaro, Michoacan in August, 2007. I had read numerous accounts of the horrors of moving from the US to Mexico, and took the advice from a number of 'how to do it' books....and contacted Teresa and Doug White of StromMoving. What a great expeience!! Our stateside agent was terrific! Teresa answered every question (some of them asked more than once) with care,skill and humor....never making us feel like we 'just didn't get it.' The move itself was flawless. Everything happened on time, and our goods arrived in great condition and were unpacked to our utter satisfaction. We are now providing a service to people moving to Patzcuaro from within Mexico or from the US, and are enthusiastically recommending that they contact Teresa and Doug for a truly moving experience:).

This note is to give you a recommendation, should the time come when you, too, move back north.  Our shipment of household items also arrived today and Strom White Movers did a fantastic job!  I was quite concerned about 4 large oil paintings, but the canvases arrived in perfect condition.  I was very impressed with the care that was taken with each item, how well all the furniture (yes, my 20 or so chairs) was wrapped and how well the shipping containers were packed. So hasta luego, my friends, and many many thanks to Strom-White.  Your guys did a great job.

Stored my personal effects in Ajijic for 15 months then air-freighted them from Mexico to Cyprus when I finally relocated there.  Everything arrived unbroken and in good condition, despite the length of time. Professionals!!

I'm sure there have been better moves for someone but this one for us seemed to go seamlessly. It was a very positive experience for us from beginning to end. We still have some boxes to unpack but all of the critical things came through unscathed. Do you know the name of the movers in Nashville who delivered to our house? They were also terrific and I didn't get a card or their names should we need them in the future. Best to you and many thanks for such a professional job.

I wanted to send a personal note thanking you for your part in the biggest move we have ever made.  You helped alleviate much of the nerves involved with a move of this size.  I do want this comment to be public record--WE ARE NOT MOVING AGAIN--EVER!  But your crew was delightful and very helpful.  You are very fortunate to have employees that represent you so well.  I send out a daily update to many friends that are planning on moving or visiting here and they will hear glowing reports about you.

My wife and I have moved 5 times over the last 20 years and our last move with Strom was certainly the most efficient and well organized. The packers did a really great job unfortunately I did not know they would be so thorough or I would have let them pack the 40 boxes of paintings that I packed myself which took me 19 days!  Everything arrived on time and all there.  I hope everyone else will have the positive experience we did.

We arrived safely back to our home in Florida on August 5, after picking up our furniture at your fright forwarder in Laredo on the morning of August 3. As such, we just wanted to let you know how well everything went. Thanks to you, everything happened just as you said:    -Our lift vans were there and ready to be unpacked and repacked in the 14ft U-Haul at early Monday morning.  - Two loaders were there at 9 AM to open the lift vans and pack the U-Haul.  - As you said, the 14 footer held everything nicely with no problems.  - There was absolutely no damage at Laredo or when we arrived in Stuart, FL. Your local packing is the very best. With your advice and packing, we saved the cost of insurance.  - The loaders charged only $125 when you said it would cost about $200.  - They were done with the repacking in an hour when they said 2 hours. We went to get breakfast and on our return the truck was loaded, reconnected to our trailer/car carrier, and we were off to Florida.   After our experience with LCM on our move to Ajijic, it was a real treat to do business with an experienced mover who does what he says.   Our best to everyone at Strom White,   Darrell McGill
